the price of truth:
#Israeli government cut off the Israeli daily newspaper #Haaretz from state advertising,state-funded subscriptions, etc.
It's positive: bloody money stain every hand and conscience which touch it.
And it is good to expose what a #democracy Israel is

It's likely because they have more funding and possibly better talent than public underfunded projects. The Manhattan Project, despite its nuclear bomb casualties, was very innovative because the US government brought on the best of the best, and gave them a blank check to work on this.
I mean, the World Wide Web itself is based on the military initiative that kickstarted ARPANET to facilitate communication between research and military institutions.
Granted, MKULTRA was allegedly never successful, and its research was inconclusive (shocking, I know, dosing people with LSD and cocaine isn't effective for research purposes). At least OXCART and CORONA benefitted consumer-grade satellites that now allow us to monitor the weather, and aerospace technology in general due to the development of materials capable to withstand the conditions in space.
