sono a Monza all'autodromo e, in un anno dove la Ferrari è scarsa, l'affluenza di venerdì mattina è ottima. Evidentemente un evento da decine di migliaia di persone non è considerato interessate. I giornali non li ha uccisi il web, trattasi di suicidio programmato.

* *22 percent* of the Department for Business and Trade [respondents] *did identify hallucinations*, 43 percent did not, and 11 percent were unsure. → again, no assessment of time lost there… much less so from when the synthetic lie makes it down into decision making.
La FOMO è comprare qualcosa perché hai paura di essere fuori dal circolo sociale di chi l'ha comprata.
Quello che descrivi non è necessariamente quello di cui si discute in senso negativo di "fear of missing out". Se sei eccitato per una nuova uscita, o per un gioco vecchio che hai scoperto, non hai "paura di [miss out]", dato che l'oggetto del desiderio è disponibile e lo sarà a tempo indefinito.
La FOMO problematica è quando Nintendo rilascia un videogioco disponibile per un tempo limitato, in maniera da massimizzare le vendite in quanto i fan avranno "paura di perderselo".
