A beautiful review of my English book based on my 15 year-long investigative work on #JA and #WikiLeaks, #SecretPowerWikiLeaksAndItsEnemies foreword by #KenLoach (publisher Pluto Press), by a U.S. journalist who knows the #USMilitaryIndustrialComplex very well:

#BasharAlAssad was a bloodthirsty dictator [1]. Medhurst published a half-hour video [2] that defends Assad's supposed 2021 "election" (with 95% support) [3] as legitimate and representing the wishes of the Syrian people.

Two notes, as far as I could verify:
* European gas prices are 2-3x pre-war Russian pipeline contracts, not 10x. The 10x figure fits the 2022 peak but not the current steady state (40Eur/MWh today vs. 15-20Eur/MWh pre-2022).
* Chinese high-tech industry is largely insulated from oil shortages. Oil mostly affects transport and chemical industry, not fabs or data centres.
