If I understand correctly, the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) has started a preliminary investigation into this possible breach of the Digital Services Act (DSA) and GDPR by the European Commission. No source to back that up currently however.
Yet, it's quite unfathomable that a large majority of the European Parliament does not want to discuss this issue.
