Non è stato arrestato per omicidio, ma per essere stato beccato in possesso di una cosiddetta ghost gun, un'arma non registrata, probabilmente prodotta con una stampante 3D.
Per ora è una "persona d'interesse", un sospettato. Gli indizi sono pesanti, ma le verifiche del caso sono in corso.

Ho sognato di avere una tresca con una specie di sviluppatore di software libero con la metà dei miei anni e che, per la propria sicurezza, dormiva in una stanza chiusa da un portellone blindato tipo caveau di banca spesso almeno un metro.
Credo sia un segno evidente che devo staccarmi un po' da Friendica e Mastodon. 😂

Questa balena è stata stampata in linoleografia o #linocut per essere più smart.
Come funziona: faccio un #disegno, se reputo che sia dignitoso, lo passo su del linoleum che poi, con delle sgorbie vado a incidere.
Il risultato è il disegni ma in "negativo" .
Sul linoleum stendo poi dell'inchiostro a base d'acqua e infine stampo.
La carta è di cotone, fatta apposta per questo tipo di lavori.
Infine lascio asciugare.

Qualche giorno fa sono cascata dalle nuvole quando la farmacista mi ha detto che il vaccino per l'HPV che avevo comprato (200 €, grazie assicurazione che me li rimborserai) va conservato in frigo. Nessun problema per il trasporto verso casa (5 minuti a piedi e fuori faceva freddo), ma mi si è posto il problema di come portarlo dal dottore, visto che in quel caso il tragitto è di circa 20 minuti.
Non ho il freezer, per cui l'opzione borsa termica col siberino dentro non è percorribile.
Cerca che ti cerca, ho scoperto delle geniali pochette per insulina che si attivano solo con acqua e tengono in fresco fino a 45 ore. Ne ho ordinata una: la provo appena arriva, sono curiosa di vedere quanto raffredda!

Now I’ve heard it all. Today I was told that feminism is the reason that misogyny and patriarchal values are worse now than fifty years ago.
That if women went back into the kitchen, gave up their jobs and focused on being good wives and mothers - men would behave better.
This was in response to my discussing Gisele Pelicot and the sheer number of men involved in assaulting her.
Apparently if women don’t adopt more traditional values immediately - we are to be blamed.
I can’t with this crap anymore.
Men assault us - it’s our fault.
Men drug us - it’s our fault.
Men cheat on us - it’s our fault.
We say too many men - it’s our fault.
We call out bad behaviour? Not only is it our fault but also our responsibility to fix it.
Men - it’s not OUR job to fix your bad behaviour. If we could fix it - we would have by now.
Start holding each other accountable. Stop revering, protecting and electing rapists and serial abusers. Stop blaming women.

Qwant e Ecosia, due dei principali motori di ricerca europei, hanno annunciato una joint venture per sviluppare un indice di ricerca europeo.
La nuova società, European Search Perspective (EUSP), sarà basata a Parigi e sarà di proprietà al 50% di entrambe le società. L'obiettivo è quello di fornire risultati di ricerca migliorati per gli utenti europei, in particolare in francese e tedesco, e di contribuire alla sovranità digitale del continente.
La joint venture mira a creare un indice di ricerca "privacy-first" che sarà disponibile anche ad altri motori di ricerca indipendenti e società tecnologiche.

It was no surprise that Trump won—or to be more precise, that white christofascism won.
Not (only) because the Democratic Party tried to out-fash the fascists.
Not (only) because liberals believed in the system, and put so many eggs in that basket, whether they voted for anyone or not.
Not (only) because our own despair caused us anarchists to fail to see openings and supply prefigurative possibilities and practices for the disillusioned, abandoned, and so on.
But because “everyday fascism” had already won.
The “banality of evil,” to quote Jewish political philosopher Hannah Arendt (whose writings on authoritarianism are well worth returning to), has long (always?) been woven into the social fabric of the so-called United States. Yet there’s now a hegemonic, commonplaceness to it that most folks don’t see or question any longer—a social fabric of fascism.
On Election Day, for instance, I had to get an X-ray to check for a minor fracture in my finger, and did it within an enormous hospital system covering huge parts of one state. A sign in the X-ray unit read, “If you are pregnant, or suspect you’re pregnant, tell the technician … “—a precaution I’ve seen before when needing an X-ray. But it now contained this addendum: “… so as to protect your unborn child.”
The dog whistles, the fascistic (here, anti-abortion) language, are so loud, blatant, and yet banal, they scream in your face and yet almost don’t register. But words matter; they socialize us. They signal victory and victors—erasing alternatives. They shape and structure practices.
Now, post-election, I hear liberal-nonprofity activists all too quickly again use the language of “write your legislators”—failing to see how far past any semblance of “representative democracy” we are, despite the “fascism vs fascism” nonchoice of a mere week ago they seemed to recognize, briefly. The signs are everywhere, with an everydayness that will increasingly kill, that we are deep in white christofascism and soon deeper.
Our task, among many, is to reassert other languages—making visible not only an antifascist culture but also existing fabrics of solidarity, community self-defense, and communal care.

In questa intervista del 1942 Jung (sì, lo psicanalista) dice quello che credo sia tutto quello che c'è da sapere per capire come mai gli americani abbiano votato Trump. Vale per qualunque dittatore.
Alla mia terapeuta ieri dicevo che a votarlo secondo me sono state tutte quelle persone che vorrebbero essere come lui: ricche, potenti, piene di figa, sfacciatamente libere di dire e fare qualunque cosa passi loro per la mente senza patire alcuna conseguenza o quasi. Libere di essere violente e cattive quando e come gli pare.
L'identificazione nel leader ha fatto la magia, anche quando a un osservatore esterno (il resto del mondo, eccettuati gli altri dittattori e aspiranti tali, guardacaso) è chiaro che questo "leader" non abbia alcuna qualità di rilievo, non sia eccezionale se non in negativo.
Siamo prevedibilissimi, ma continuiamo a dimenticarcelo. Continuiamo a non ascoltare chi cerca di farcelo ricordare.
E quindi, se Trump ha vinto è perché Trump è l'America, qui e oggi.

Forse mi farebbe bene psicologicamente stare lontana dalle news e dai social fino a DOPO le elezioni americane. Quest'ultima settimana è difficile da sopportare e sembra non finire più. 😅
Ogni tanto (raramente) esce una celebrity news che mi fa dire "no way!".
Ecco. Ieri sera (con notevole ritardo, visto che la news è vecchia di luglio) ho scoperto le accuse di molestia sessuale rivolte da 5 donne a Neil Gaiman. Neil Gaiman!
Ci sono rimasta male, nonostante non possa dire di essere una sua fan. Le uniche cose che ho letto di suo sono i suoi post su Tumblr, ma quello che scriveva in generale mi piaceva.
Forse a sproposito mi partono riflessioni sul bisogno umano di avere archetipi, figure che incarnino il bene e il male assoluti, come una bussola ha bisogno dei poli per funzionare.
Finché l'archetipo è un personaggio fittizio va tutto bene: nel suo essere assolutamente buono o cattivo non è umano, non ha sfaccettature. Per questo le Storie funzionano e appassionano.
Ma se il tuo eroe, il tuo archetipo è una persona reale... Beh, prima o poi qualcosa di negativo e deludente salterà fuori.
Il tuo cantante preferito che si lascia sfuggire una frase razzista.
Il tuo attore preferito che si scopre essere un violento.
La tua band del cuore che, la prima volta che vai a vederli live, suona mbriaca, di merda e chiude il concerto in anticipo.
Nessuno degli idoli che scegliamo è un amico, ma lo percepiamo come tale. Quando fanno cose brutte e inaspettate, ci si sente traditi.

Una signora (secondo me un po' bizzarra) mi ha appena detto che mi devo rallegrare che la Meloni governi l'Italia perché ha "valori cristiani" e pensa "normale".
