Wie beim Klimawandel geht es auch bei der Chatkontrolle nicht um wissenschaftliche Fakten. Die freiwillige Chatkontrolle könnte nach der Faktenlage noch viel unwirksamer sein und würde dennoch weiter vorangetrieben werden - ebenso eine verpflichtende Chatkontrolle (die nur vertagt wurde).
Es geht darum, rücksichtlos die Interessen der herrschenden Klasse durchzusetzen um die Arbeiterklasse, die zunehmend Widerstand gegen Ausbeutung und Faschismus leistet, unterdrücken zu können. Deshalb wird die Chatkontrolle vorangetrieben. Ohne den Sturz des Kapitalismus mit einer internationalen sozialistischen Perspektive wird keine Chatkontrolle und kein anderes Instrument der Massenüberwachung verhindert werden.
Die verpflichtende Chatkontrolle ist voerst vom Tisch. Ein Etappensieg für die Grundrechte. Doch die Befürworter von Überwachung werden nicht locker lassen.

This assessment shows serious procedural shortcuts from the EU's executive body that has clearly resulted in rushed and harmful lawmaking. The #DigitalOmnibus launched last week is a result of the same.

Es gibt Updates zu #Gießen: Das Verwaltungsgericht hat zwei "Verlegungen" von Versammlungen kassiert, diese dürfen nun doch in der Nähe des Treffens der AfD-Jugend stattfinden. I hope people understand that your own phone is more or less owned by the government and that your own phone will betray you: where you are, what you are doing, who you are talking to, how much money is going where, and whether you are doing something the state does not like.
You might say it won't be that bad, but suppose that in a few months' time, someone like Trump suddenly comes to power in your country. Would you still be so sure about Chat Control?
