If this passes both, is there something that's still possible after that? Maybe a citizens initiative? The german petition there got ~200k signatures in 2 days iirc, seems possible to get a million.
A serious request could be to enable parental controls within social apps. For example, I'd like to disable Meta's AI inside WhatsApp for my children. It's not easy to avoid WhatsApp when all their friends use it, but when a company has such widespread use, it's reasonable to ask for more user control.
Monitoring chats is a parental responsibility. Just like in real life, being aware of who our children's friends are is not something a parent can delegate.

🚨✉️ noyb has joined forces with @edri and the Irish Council for Civil Liberties to send an open letter to the EU Commission concerning the Digital Omnibus.
⚖️ We are seriously concerned about the potential threat that the internal draft poses to Europeans' fundamental rights.
Among other things, the Commission has secretly set in motion a potentially massive reform of the hashtag#GDPR.

Do you know about any (planned) European peoples initiative about this? Open letters are a good start, but I think this case needs a lot more attention to show to politicians that the people in Europe do not support this serious threat to our data and privacy!

In immer mehr Kantonen in der Schweiz wird ein neues Grundrecht auf digitale Integrität verankert. In Zürich wird darüber am 30. November abgestimmt. Bislang verfängt das Konzept, welches das Persönlichkeitsrecht um das Digitale erweitern will, allerdings nur in der Schweiz.

WHY is an organisation which nobody can vote out being enabled to transfasrm EU in to an Orwellian Horror show.
We are always told China is bad because it surveils and scores its citizens.
The European Surveillance and feeding of palantir et al will far surpass China in its chilling effects on freedom and democracy.
Again EU is not a democratically Legitimated Institution,
The commission was not voted for by the people.
