She is known for her exploration of social and moral issues, particularly concerning the roles and expectations of women in society. German entomologist, naturalist and scientific illustrator Maria Sibylla Merian died #OTD in 1717.

The Sea Wolf is a great book. Wolf Larson is a terror: an amoral beast that the protagonist is fascinated with. There are times where it is almost embarrassingly homoerotic. I think London knew that, which is why he threw in a female to mix it up. Can’t scare the squares.

So how come when I use my name in major search engines they show up using my name and theirs(Wikipedia) shows up included with a different name example Barry Houser. The fact is Wikipedia preaches democracy and free speech but it does not practice it. I am sure you know about my brand names, copyrights and trademarks and they do to but promoting a hostile environment only proves to the world you do not practice what you preach

She was a co-founder of the precursor body to the American Bryological and Lichenological Society.
