📝 Yesterday, nine civil society organisations, including @edri, submitted a joint complaint against X for violating the #DSA by using people’s sensitive personal data for targeted ads.
🚨 This is banned under the DSA because it can lead to higher risk of discrimination, harm and violations of users’ fundamental rights.

Als ich gerade auf chatkontrolle.de geklickt habe, kam folgende Fehlermeldung in meinem Browser:
"Dieser Server konnte nicht beweisen, dass er www.chatkontrolle.de ist. Sein Sicherheitszertifikat stammt von *.kasserver.com. Mögliche Gründe sind eine fehlerhafte Konfiguration oder ein Angreifer, der deine Verbindung abfängt."

Our colleague @llas is participating in this year's #DMA compliance workshops, organized by @EUCommission.
Since last week, the EC is receiving stakeholders views on specific issues in relation to the specific implementing measures presented by gatekeepers. The #DMA can open doors for #FreeSoftware alternatives, but gatekeepers are still throwing up roadblocks. We are there to highlight those and make sure the DMA is implemented in a developer friendly-way.

Seems like EU Commission made logging in to the consultation site harder than before?
At least I don't remember this weird hoop from June: after entering your email, there's a separate screen with a password field. Under the password field is a popup full of what looks like 2FA methods with weird names. If you just try to continue after entering your password, you get an error that the selected authentication method has not been enabled on your account.
To actually log in with a password, you have to explicitly select "Password" from the popup. The default for me was something that sounded like FIDO2 in bureaucratese.
The #DMA can open doors for #FreeSoftware: alternative app stores, browsers, emulators, and much more!
But right now, gatekeepers are throwing up roadblocks.
We need your help to hold them accountable.
