Sie folgen einfach dümmlich dem Vibe-Shift der US-Politik unter Trump. Es geht scheinbar nur darum "Signale" an die "Investoren" zu senden. Die Message soll sein: "Hey 👋 Schaut mal hier 👀 Wir hier in Europa können auch so ein bisschen skrupellos kapitalistisch sein und kurzfristigen Profit über die Rechte der Menschen stellen. Aber ich bin sicher, sie können die #floss Revolution damit kein µ aufhalten ✌️ 😃

Was soll denn der Blödsinn. In meinem Studium hats keine Sau interessiert, wer sich da zum Schreiben in den Hörsaal setzt. Da wurde nichtmal der Ausweis oder so kontrolliert. Aber wenn's online ist, muss auf einmal Gesichtserkennung her? Manche kommen auf Ideen. 🙄

Die Regierungskoalition des Landes Berlin hat ihr neues Polizeigesetz nach einer Anhörung von Sachverständigen nur minimal angepasst. Bei der automatisierten Gesichtserkennung soll die Überwachung sogar noch weiter ausgebaut werden als bisher geplant.

To be fair, that IS how the speed suggestion on the Autobahn works: Drive about 130km/h, over only if safe to do so, at your own risk. It‘s just that in the „Neuland“, what is safe (or good) is not legally defined through precedent. And it‘s not going to change anytime soon.

äx. Ich frage mich, weshalb auf dieser Ebene so oft die Auto Metapher benutzt wird.
"Man müsse Dinge „einfach mal machen“ und „losmarschieren“. „Als die ersten Autos auf die Straße kamen, sprach auch niemand über die Verkehrstoten“.
Wie wäre es denn, das #zendis mit vernünftiger Finanzierung auszustatten, oder #opendesk in großem Umfang in Bund/Ländern/Kommunen einzuführen? Oder #odt als Dateiformat in die Fläche zu bringen. Könnte man alles mal machen.

@ner_0773 quel video è precedente. Fino a stamattina sembrava che fosse in fase di approvazione. Poi c'è stato il dietrofront. È una strategia perché se gli fosse riuscita avrebbero vinto, ma anche così gli va bene: in questo modo Stanno sovrastimolando il sistema nervoso dei cittadini più attenti così da prenderli per sfinimento

Means european Surveillance.

WHY is an organisation which nobody can vote out being enabled to transfasrm EU in to an Orwellian Horror show.

We are always told China is bad because it surveils and scores its citizens.

The European Surveillance and feeding of palantir et al will far surpass China in its chilling effects on freedom and democracy.

Again EU is not a democratically Legitimated Institution,

Die EU-Kommission plant eine umfassende Drohnenabwehr für die Außengrenzen der Europäischen Union. Sie soll allerdings nicht nur gegen russische Drohnen, sondern auch gegen Migrant*innen eingesetzt werden. Manchmal habe ich den Verdacht das u.a. Grüne nur gewählt werden weil sie das kleinere Übel scheinen. Unionsparteien oder SPD werden demnach vielleicht auch oft nur noch gewählt weil Otto/Heidi Normalo nicht anders zu wählen "weiss".
Das kleinere Übel zu wählen hat ja mittlerweile jahrzehntelange Tradition.😒
Dabei wäre mal eine Partei die ihr Wahlprogramm und/oder ihre Wahlversprechen wenigstens versucht *konsequent* zu verfolgen was sensationell neues.

Seit Jahresbeginn hat das Ausländeramt Köln 130 Datenträger von Geflüchteten eingezogen – und gibt sie „bis zur Ausreise“ nicht mehr zurück. Andere Städte sind deutlich zurückhaltender. Das Ministerium in NRW will mit der Praxis nichts zu tun haben.

What’s being presented as a “technical streamlining” is, in reality, a covert dismantling of Europe’s strongest digital safeguards.

In its current form, the Digital Omnibus would:
🔴 weaken ePrivacy rules ➡️ more tracking
🔴 undermine the AI Act ➡️ less oversight
🔴 hollow out the GDPR ➡️ companies mark their own homework
🔴 shift power from people ➡️ to tech & state actors

This could be the biggest rollback of digital rights in EU history, pushed through opaque processes that sidestep democratic oversight.

If the EU genuinely wants to help businesses comply, it should support enforcement and provide guidance, not dismantle the frameworks that protect people and provide legal certainty.

📣 Fundamental rights are NOT “red tape": we urge the @EUCommission to defend, not dismantle, the laws that keep people at the centre of Europe’s digital future.

Der Herr #Bundeskanzler sollte mal damit anfangen, seine Social Media Aktivitäten auf #Mastodon und #Fediverse auszudehnen bzw. "Twitter ehemals X" abzuschalten.

Denn das würde eine immense Bekanntheit von Mastodon in vielen Medien nach sich ziehen... denn immer wenn ich schon im Radio "Merz postete auf X" höre, kriege ich Brechreize und merke, wie weit entfernt #Doofland von Digitaler Souveränität ist.

Has it been revived once again?
