WHY is an organisation which nobody can vote out being enabled to transfasrm EU in to an Orwellian Horror show.
We are always told China is bad because it surveils and scores its citizens.

Seit Jahresbeginn hat das Ausländeramt Köln 130 Datenträger von Geflüchteten eingezogen – und gibt sie „bis zur Ausreise“ nicht mehr zurück. Andere Städte sind deutlich zurückhaltender. Das Ministerium in NRW will mit der Praxis nichts zu tun haben.

If this passes both, is there something that's still possible after that? Maybe a citizens initiative? The german petition there got ~200k signatures in 2 days iirc, seems possible to get a million.
A serious request could be to enable parental controls within social apps. For example, I'd like to disable Meta's AI inside WhatsApp for my children. It's not easy to avoid WhatsApp when all their friends use it, but when a company has such widespread use, it's reasonable to ask for more user control.
Monitoring chats is a parental responsibility. Just like in real life, being aware of who our children's friends are is not something a parent can delegate.

Das klingt für mich danach, als würde das Aushebeln von Ende-zu-Ende-Verschlüsselung nicht mehr als angemessene Risikominderungsmaßnahme gelten.

In immer mehr Kantonen in der Schweiz wird ein neues Grundrecht auf digitale Integrität verankert. In Zürich wird darüber am 30. November abgestimmt. Bislang verfängt das Konzept, welches das Persönlichkeitsrecht um das Digitale erweitern will, allerdings nur in der Schweiz.

Dafür brauchen wir vielleicht nur ein besseres Wappentier, das mehr Bewusstsein hat als jede sogenannte künstliche Intelligenz.

Because of course the next thing is banning all vpns and anonymizers and go to an Applefied walled garden internet like China that is controllable by bureaucrats and their political bosses.

They are one of the parties in goverment.
